Chapter 6 Walkthrough

The Sunleth Waterscape - The Old Growth
After the cutscene you will be put in control of Vanille with Sazh accompanying. The first thing that you are going to want to do is upgrade your characters at the crystarium. Depending on how many battles you skipped in the last few areas, you should be able to get one or two roles maxed out for each character. After upgrading, save and proceed down the path ahead.
First, fight the two Flandragoras (preferably with an easy preemptive strike). Proceed to another new enemy encounter with three Hedge Frogs. A slight detour to the left and a fight with two more Bandragoras yields 8 vials of Mysterious Fluid, which is easily worth the simple fight. A few more fights and you will find a treasure sphere containing a Belladonna Wand for Vanille and a save point.
Kill the five Gremlins that are seemingly playing ring-around-the-rosy and continue until you find the treasure sphere containing the Procyons weapon for Sazh near six Bandragoras. If you are using Sazh primarily as a Commando, then equip them immediately to get a bonus to chaining. A left detour yields the Doctors Code accessory after a fight with five more Gremlins. A cutscene triggers when you reach a bend in the path and reveals more about Sazh's family and past.
A Shimmering Sky
If you want to level then feel free to fight the Scalebeasts nearby, otherwise only kill the one near the Treasure Sphere to the left of the save point. To kill the Scalebeast, preemptive strike it, attack it while its weak, and then slowly fill the chain gauge back up until the armor disappears and repeat. The Slash and Burn paradigm should help you build a chain, War and Peace will keep you alive, and the buffs from Tide Turner will speed the battle up a bit. Once the Scalebeast is dead, grab the Treasure Sphere and continue on through some menial fights. A cutscene triggers in a clearing a little ways ahead.
After the cutscene, you take control of Vanille and must attempt to find Sazh, who has disappeared. When the path widens, stay left and you will find Sazh standing near the waters edge. Sazh then talks about his son and how he came to be on the train with Lightning. After the cutscene, proceed into the canyon and save.
Rain Spotted Veil
The Weather Control Spheres are introduced right after you leave the save point. The spheres will change the enemy types you encounter. Wyverns and Flandragoras only appear when its dry, and Hedge Frogs, Mud Frogs, and Scalebeasts only appear in the rain.
To the right of the second Weather Sphere is a path with a Metal Armband and a few enemies. There is a Treasure Sphere containing an Aqua Ring if you follow the left hand portion of the next fork in the road. If you need CP then feel free to manipulate the weather and fight the Wyverns and Scalebeasts. Much better sources of experience will come up in the next few areas, so don't spend too much time farming here. Save and spend any CP accumulated.
Hemmed in Stone
Defeating Enki and Enlil
Paradigm Setup
Slash and Burn (2)
| Vanille | - | Ravager |
| Sazh | - | Commando |
War and Peace (2)
| Vanille | - | Medic |
| Sazh | - | Commando |
Dualcasting
| Vanille | - | Ravager |
| Sazh | - | Ravager |
Strategy
Start out targeting Enlil and switching paradigms to speed up the ATB charging. You will need to frequently switch to War and Peace to heal the large amounts of damage these bosses are capable of inflicting. Make sure to be as close to full health before Enlil uses Bellow. This is when the battle becomes more difficult. All the buffs bestowed by Bellow means that you need to kill Enlil as quickly as possible. If you can keep a steady stream of attacks going on Enlil, he will be unable to use his area effect attack. Once Enlil is dead the battle is much easier. Just make sure to not let your health fall below what Enki's strong attacks can do and the rest will be easy.
Seabus Docks
Remove any accessories you will want in the next chapter and proceed to the hole in the fence to start Chapter 7.
